Privacy Policy.

Last updated15 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Arabic on the Go mobile application (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The App is published by Arabic on the Go. For privacy questions or to exercise any rights described in Section 6, write to privacy@arabiconthego.com.

01Information we collect

1.1 Information stored only on your device

The following is created and stored locally on your device. We do not currently transmit it to our servers:

You can clear this information at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing app data in your device’s system settings.

Planned change — optional cloud sync

A future update may introduce optional cloud sync so you can carry your progress across devices. If and when that feature ships, this Privacy Policy will be updated beforehand. Sync will be opt-in: it will not run unless you explicitly enable it, and it will sync only the categories of on-device data listed above.

1.2 Anonymous usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics) — off unless you opt in

Analytics are switched off by default. Nothing described in this section is collected unless you switch analytics on yourself — either on the consent screen shown when you first open the App, or later in the App’s privacy settings. You can switch analytics back off in the same place at any time, and collection stops from that moment.

If you do switch analytics on, we use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and to improve the App. It then collects:

We do not log the specific Arabic words you study, your answers, or any free-text input through analytics events.

1.3 Crash and stability reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics) — on by default

Crash reporting is on by default, and you can switch it off at any time in the App’s privacy settings. While it is on, Firebase Crashlytics sends an automated report when the App crashes so we can fix the problem. A crash report includes:

Crash reports do not include your vocabulary progress, the content of any screen you were viewing, or any personally identifying information you have not already chosen to share.

If you switch crash reporting off, the App stops sending new reports from that moment. Reports already sent are deleted at the end of the retention period described in Section 4.

1.4 Audio content delivery (Cloudflare R2)

Arabic pronunciation audio is hosted on Cloudflare R2, a content delivery service. When the App downloads audio for a chapter:

We do not associate audio downloads with any identifier we control.

1.5 Information we do not collect

We do not collect, request, or process:

02How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to:

We do not

03Third-party service providers

We rely on the following service providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

ServicePurposePrivacy policy
Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics)Crash reports, and anonymous usage analytics if you switch them onpolicies.google.com/privacy
Cloudflare R2Audio content deliverycloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Google Play (Android)App distributionpolicies.google.com/privacy
Apple App Store (iOS)App distributionapple.com/legal/privacy

We do not share information with any party other than the providers listed above, except where required by law (see Section 7).

04Data retention

05Children’s privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child under 13 has used the App in a way that involves any personal information being processed, please contact us at the address above and we will take appropriate steps.

The App is not directed at children under 13 within the meaning of the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), and does not knowingly fall within the GDPR-K threshold of 13–16 in applicable European jurisdictions.

06Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding information about you. Because the App collects very little personal information and stores most data only on your device, most of these rights can be exercised directly by managing the App on your device.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

Our legal basis for crash reporting and for delivering audio is our legitimate interest in keeping the App working and fixing what breaks. Our legal basis for anonymous usage analytics is your consent, which you give by switching analytics on and can withdraw at any time in the App’s privacy settings; withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place. No processing is based on the performance of a contract.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

Exercising your rights

To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@arabiconthego.com with enough information for us to identify the request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Because we collect very little personal information, our ability to locate information specific to you may be limited; we will work with you to find what we can.

The fastest controls are in the App itself. Its privacy settings switch anonymous analytics on or off and crash reporting off or on, and take effect immediately. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App removes the on-device data and the local identifiers altogether. Disabling personalised ads at the operating-system level (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking) further limits the identifiers passed to Firebase.

08International transfers

The third-party service providers listed in Section 3 are based in or operate from the United States and other countries. By using the App you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. Where required, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.

09Security

We rely on industry-standard security practices from our service providers (encrypted transport for analytics and crash data, signed Android APKs). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, notify users through an in-app message before the changes take effect.

11How to delete your data

To delete your data, email us at privacy@arabiconthego.com. We will help identify your ID in our database and then delete your data.
